This big fella is full of love and charisma, always charming those he meets, handing out hugs and "paws" to show how much he likes you. Thatcher is a sensitive boy that adores being doted on. He is a faithful fella, always sleeping by his foster mother's side of the bed, and expressing his discontent with a pitiful, soft whine if he can't. He is a very intelligent boy and understands things quickly. House trained and crate trained, he is well mannered indoors while also enjoying his outdoor time with his best canine buddies. Thatcher does very well with dogs, but if there is another dog in his forever family then it needs to be a female. Sometimes he's not fond of other males, and can possibly progress as he becomes more mature. **There can also be NO CATS AND NO FOWL...and probably no other farm life.** He was taken to the shelter because he had some chicken for dinner...unfortunately it was a chicken in the pen vs. the oven. Not understanding why humans could have it and dogs couldn't, he was discarded. Thatcher will require a securely fenced yard due to the breed's tendency to roam. It is strongly encouraged to research the breed prior to considering adoption. Thatcher is a boy with a heart of gold, filled with compassion, love and a gentle demeanor. He loves affection and hugs, and is a perfect companion. We are very proud of our sweet boy. We know his forever family will be, as well!
